The Colts have acknowledged that Peyton Manning has begun throwing a football as part of his rehabilitation. Throwing during the rehab process, Caldwell added Thursday, is "what he does. They have been working with him in that area. That's all part of it. That's not anything revolutionary or new." The Colts have kept Manning on the active roster since he underwent neck surgery Sept. 8. The hope has been he will be able to practice with the team before the end of the season.
