When asked about coach Jim Caldwell's fate, Bill Polian, the Colts vice chairman, gave only a lukewarm endorsement. "My fervent hope is that Jim's job is not in jeopardy because my fervent hope is we don't go 0-16, and we're doing everything we can to try and avoid that," Polian said on his weekly Indianapolis radio show. With games against Tennessee, Houston and Jacksonville on the horizon, it's unclear where that win will happen, especially for a team ranking 29th in scoring and 32nd in points allowed.
