Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul says the timeout called by coach Tom Coughlin before the Cowboys attempted a game-tying field goal on Sunday night gave him a chance to devise the strategy that resulted in his game-saving block. Pierre-Paul said that after Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey's first kick -- which sailed through the uprights but didn't count because Coughlin called the timeout just before the ball was snapped -- he decided to rush over the center instead of over the guard. That change in approach allowed Pierre-Paul to get enough penetration to reach up and deflect Bailey's 47-yard attempt, sealing New York's 37-34 win and creating a tie atop the NFC East.
