Jets running back LaDainian Tomlinson does not sound optimistic about playing on Thursday night in Denver against the Broncos.
Tomlinson, who has a sprained MCL in his left knee, had a setback Tuesday, according to a source.
"I would tell you that if the game was Sunday, I don't think I'd have a problem playing," Tomlinson said. "But it's a short week, and it is a little more pressure and a little more difficult to do. But if I don't play this game, I absolutely will play against Buffalo (next game)."
Tomlinson suffered the injury on his final carry during the Jets' 37-16 loss to the Patriots on Sunday night. He underwent an MRI on Monday, which revealed the MCL sprain.
"I'm just taking it day by day," Tomlinson said.
