Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said he was "hopeful" that running back Felix Jones would be able to play this week.
Jones has missed the last three games due to a high left ankle sprain. He sprinted and cut during a workout Monday and could possibly return to practice Wednesday.
"We're certainly hopeful," Garrett said of Jones facing the Bills on Sunday.
"He had a good workout today. He's going to have another workout tomorrow and we'll see how he feels on Wednesday."
