Broncos defensive end Elvis Dumervil, who recored 17 sacks back in 2009, is still waiting for his first of the 2011 season. "Sacks are what my position is about," Dumervil said. "Sacks are the stats, sacks are what I do. Of course I'm frustrated, but it's not the tough things that come your way that make or break you — it's how you handle them. I'm trying to handle it the best I can. "I'm close, but I want to get on the board. I want to make it right." Dumervil missed last season with a torn chest muscle but said in August he felt "great, ready to dominate," only to see his season go awry early because of injuries. He has played in parts of only five games this year. "Since two days before that [season opener], it's one thing after another," Dumervil said. "My upper body is good now, my strength is good, it's just this ankle, man. Everybody heals differently on this injury, but I want to play. If I feel like I can help, I'll be out there. I don't want to miss too many games. "Losing makes it worse. If you're not on the field, you're always going to feel like you're letting your team down. And then if you're injured, you don't feel right because you're not playing at the high level you should be playing. But you have to keep lining up. I'm truly confident ... I'm close to putting some (sacks) up on that meter."
