The Raiders agreed to terms with first-round selection Michael Huff, the first defensive back taken in the 2006 draft, to a five-year deal worth at least $22.5 million.
After helping Texas win a national championship alongside Vince Young, Huff is expected to earn a starting spot alongside Stuart Schweigert at safety for Oakland. T
The Raiders had a chance to select local quarterback Matt Leinart of Southern California in the first round, but instead took Huff to help a secondary which recorded a league-low five interceptions last season.
