The Vikings have waived quarterback Rhett Bomar and nine other players in their first round of roster cuts. Bomar was a long shot to make the team after the Vikings drafted Christian Ponder in the first round in April. He was arrested on charges of drunken driving during training camp this month. The Vikings also waived defensive backs, Chris Adingupu and Simeon Castille, offensive lineman Conan Amituanai, tight end Ed Barham, kicker Nate Whitaker, linebacker Jonathan Gilmore, receiver Andre Holmes, linebacker Kyle O'Donnell and defensive tackle Colby Whitlock.
