Seattle's offense struggled yet again on Saturday, but coach Pete Carroll still backs quarterback Tarvaris Jackson. The Seahawks didn't score in the first half of their 20-7 preseason loss to the Vikings. "I'm not in that mindset at all," Carroll said when asked if he has considered replacing Jackson with Charlie Whitehurst. "I love that Charlie played well, and I think we need to give Tarvaris a chance to play well, too, with the guys around him. I felt like he was out there fighting for it, and he did a good job of competing."
