Jeff Fisher, who was the coach of the Titans/Oilers for 17 years, will enjoy a season off before pursuing another job next year. "I'm enjoying my time (off but) certainly not done with what I set out to do, and that was to win a championship. So looking forward to another opportunity to try to do so," he said. "I may entertain something (another head job) next year." He added that he harbored no ill feelings toward the Titans after he and the team mutually parted in January after a 6-10 season. "I was very pleased with the way we sorted things out, worked things out. Very, very appreciative for the organization, for Mr. Adams to give me an opportunity for that many years," he said. "But sometimes in life you just need to take a deep breath, and I needed that. It just became apparent it was time that I just needed some time away to get rest and recharged."
