Texans reserve quarterback Dan Orlovsky issued public support for a Connecticut teen barred from his prom this past week. Shelton senior James Tate was barred from his prom, the school has since reversed the decision, because he posted a message outside his school asking another student to the dance. Orlovsky, who graduated from Shelton High School in 2001, also missed his last dance as a senior after he was suspended for faking an illness during class to go play basketball. "Yeah, I think it's ridiculously harsh," Orlovsky said. "I get school rules and lines and boundaries, but what's the alternative here? Reprimand the kid if you want, but to make an example out of him like this is taking a lot of the fun out of being a senior in high school. It's kind of comical."
