With less than a week left until the first day of the NFL Draft, the Panthers aren't getting many calls for the first overall selection. Carolina general manager Marty Hurney said any calls from possible trade partners likely would not come until next week. While nearly every draft expert expects the Panthers to take Auburn quarterback Cam Newton with the first pick, Hurney said the team has not yet made a final decision. "Now you're just trying to finalize and answer all the questions you might have on players," Hurney said. "We'll continue to evaluate and have discussions, and come up with hopefully the right selection for us at 8 o'clock on Thursday."
