NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has said that the league will insist on HGH testing as part of the next collective bargaining agreement.
The players have been against such a plan because HGH testing requires a blood test.
However, Goodell said Monday that the players understand the desire for such a test.
HGH use is prohibited by the NFL, but the league's old collective bargaining agreement did not have testing for it.
Goodell thinks players "recognize the importance of" adding HGH tests.
