NFL commissioner Roger Goodell continues to insist that there will be a 2011 season. Goodell says this despite the fact that labor talks collapsed and the union dissolved itself. A number of owners are also painting a positive picture. Chargers president Dean Spanos says, "We will get through this. There will be a new agreement and we're looking forward to playing football this season." Bears president Ted Phillips echoes with "A deal will get done and we expect to play football in 2011."
