The NFL and the NFLPA have taken a break in their negotiations this weekend as they reassess their positions. "The fact that we're continuing this dialogue is a positive sign," commissioner Roger Goodell said. The two sides went nearly two months inbetween face-to-face meetings from shortly before Thanksgiving to the day before the Super Bowl. The two parties reached a "level of dialogue" and "constructive discussion" where they "fully, frankly and candidly talk to each other," mediator George Cohen said Friday. Two extensions have pushed the expiration of the current collective bargaining agreement to Friday, March 11.
