The NFL and the NFLPA agreed Thursday to a 24-hour extension of the current collective bargaining agreement so negotiations can continue.
The deal was originally supposed to expire at midnight on Thursday night.
It may be a step toward a longer extension, but it doesn't necessarily mean it will lead to a longer extension, according to sources.
