The Packers and coach Mike McCarthy are closing in on a three-year contract extension that would keep him with the team through the 2015 season.
The deal will pay McCarthy about $5 million annually, approximately a $1 million bump from his 2010 salary, according to a report in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
It's believed the extension will make the 47-year-old among the 10 highest-paid coaches in the NFL.
