NFL officials are expecting a record 105,000 fans to be in attendance for Super Bowl XLV between the Steelers and Packers on Feb. 6 at Cowboys Stadium. The final seating capacity hasn't been set, but 100,000 tickets have been sold, with 95,000 going inside the stadium and another 5,000 dedicated to the Party Plaza area that will be located outside the stadium, according to NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy. The NFL record for attendance at a Super Bowl occurred on Jan. 20, 1980 when 103,985 fans attended Super Bowl XIV between the Steelers and Los Angeles Rams at the Rose Bowl.
