The Eagles could reward DeSean Jackson with a new contract in the very near future. Jackson immediately became an impact receiver when he was drafted in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft and he's currently in the third year of his four-year rookie deal. The Philadelphia Inquirer writes that "A more-plausible scenario is that the Eagles will restructure his deal with a large signing bonus after this season or sometime this month. November has been a popular time for the team to lock up young core players (see: tight end Brent Celek and tackle Winston Justice last year) to long-term contracts." The situation is more complicated that most because Jackson has suffered two concussions in his short career. One more could threaten his livelihood.
