Patriots coach Bill Belichick approached Randy Moss about a possible contract extension during training camp but was brushed off by the receiver, according to a report in the Boston Globe. Moss told Belichick that the two sides could talk after the season. The Globe, citing a source close to the wide receiver, said around that time Moss began to believe that he would be traded before the season began. Moss was dealt to the Vikings on Wednesday for a third-round draft pick.
