Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson was reportedly wearing a brace on his injured right ankle during practice on Thursday. Houston will face the Giants on Sunday. "The brace stabilizes my ankle," Johnson told the Houston Chronicle. "It's still sore. I want to play. I hope to play. I'll get back out here [Friday] and do some more and see how it feels." Johnson sat out last Sunday's game against the Raiders after hurting the ankle in Week 2 and aggravating the injury in Week 3. "Andre took what we expected for him to take today," Texans coach Gary Kubiak said. "He was limited for practice, but he did practice, and we'll see how he'll come out of it. It was very encouraging as we work toward the [New York Giants game]. "There's going to be a risk whenever he comes back, regardless. We would never put a guy out there if we think he can't protect himself and play at the level that we think that he could play at. This week will be no different from last week from that standpoint, but he's way ahead of where he was last week at this point."
