The Packers were intending to select Marshawn Lynch with the 16th overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, but Buffalo selected the running back out of California at No. 12. Green Bay is in need of a running back due to the injury suffered by Ryan Grant, but they are unlikely to pay the Bills the price necessary to acquire Lynch.
