Cowboys rookie wide receiver Dez Bryant may not play in the preseason because of the high ankle sprain he suffered on July 30. The right ankle sprain was initially expected to sideline him for four-to-six weeks. Bryant wants to return for the Aug. 28 game against the Texans, which would allow him to play in the final two preseason games. "I just think it'd be best for me to go out there to get some work in," said Bryant. "I just feel like I need the feel of the game. I need to get a hit or something." Dallas owner Jerry Jones expressed hope over the weekend that Bryant could play two preseason games, but he preached caution on Monday. "We have got to watch getting too overanxious with him," Jones said. "But yet we know it would be helpful to him to get him work and get him in a couple of these preseason games. It's going to be a decision that is additive to a medical decision, no matter how we look at it."
