The Chicago Bears signed LB Kelvin Smith to a one-year contract and waived/injured Antonio Robinson. Terms of the Smith deal were not disclosed. Smith was originally drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the seventh round (219th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft. The 6-2, 233-pounder out of Syracuse appeared in seven career NFL games for the Dolphins (four in 2007) and Carolina Panthers (three in 2009). He also spent time with the New York Giants during the 2009 offseason.
