Michael Vick wants to play for a team that will give him a shot to be a starter, but the Eagles intend on keeping him as a backup. NFL Network insider Michael Lombardi reported Tuesday that Philadelphia plans to keep Vick. "They have no intention this offseason of trading Michael Vick," Lombardi said on NFL Network's NFL Total Access. "Many people around the league feel like that's a lot of false bravado, (and) they're going to release him, because he has a ($1.5 million) roster bonus due in March. Not the case." Vick told Sports Illustrated's Dan Patrick on Monday that he's seeking a starting job. "I would really have to think about it," said Vick of returning to the Eagles. "I like the coaching staff. I like the people around there. Maybe I would do it. Who knows?" Regardless, Philadelphia will have the final say as they hold an option in Vick's contract for next season.
