The Redskins have granted permission for secondary coach Jerry Gray to interview for the Seahawks? defensive coordinator job, according to league sources, and a meeting could take place as soon as Thursday. Gray, who interviewed for Washington?s head coach and defensive coordinator jobs, is highly respected around the NFL. He was a finalist for the Texans? defensive coordinator position last year, but the Redskins blocked him from interviewing. Gray has ties to Seahawks general manager candidate Floyd Reese from their time together in the Titans? organization. Gray also has ties to the Seahawks? new offensive coordinator, Jeremy Bates, from his Titans days. League sources said the Seahawks? current defensive line coach, Dan Quinn, also is a favorite for the position, so there could be a co-coordinator situation in Seattle.
