The Seahawks plan to meet with Pete Carroll in California on Sunday as the two sides move close to a deal. Carroll has reached an agreement with Seattle on the principles of a contract to become coach and director of football operations, according to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora. A Seahawks spokesman confirmed Saturday night that CEO Tod Leiweke will fly to Los Angeles on Sunday to interview Carroll and that the talks could last into Monday morning. On Saturday night, amid reports that a deal was done, the Associated Press reported that Carroll and the Seahawks hadn't yet agreed on anything.
