Ever since he hosted 40 members of the Jets players and staff for Thanksgiving, Bart Scott's house has been a frequent hangout for the club. Scott has five TVs in his basement, two other projection screens and a juice bar. The off the field camaraderie has helped the Jets win five out of their final six games to make the playoffs. "You name it, he has it there, and he never asks you to leave. He has an open door policy, and that's what I love about the guy," Marques Douglas said. "When you look up and see a punter throwing jokes and having fun, that goes to show that anybody is invited." "Whether you're a scout team guy or a starter, you feel like part of the common goal," James Ihedigbo said. "When you understand your teammates and connect, it changes things drastically. I understand the type of personality that you have and how you joke off the field. On the field, I can kind of anticipate what you're thinking and communicate better."
