The Eagles have given the Browns permission to interview Tom Heckert for their general manager position. A source with knowledge of the situation told NFL.com's Jason La Canfora. Heckert has a strong track record in Philadelphia and is familiar with the West Coast system that new president Mike Holmgren is trying to install in Cleveland. The Browns will interview Heckert on Wednesday.
