Getting selected Super Bowl MVP, hoisting the Vince Lombardi Trophy, jetting off to Disney World and preparing to take part in the Steelers' victory parade, those were things Hines Ward could easily digest. The Steelers wide receiver admitted Monday that his nervous constitution got the best of him in the moments leading up to Super Bowl XL at Ford Field. One would never know it from Ward's play. He caught five passes for 123 yards and one touchdown and added 18 more yards on an end-around run to help lead the Steelers to a 21-10 victory over the Seattle Seahawks. "I got sick before the pregame," Ward said at a news conference yesterday when he hand-picked a black Cadillac Escalade as his gift for being the Super Bowl MVP. "I asked (former Super Bowl MVP) Ray Lewis, 'Man, is it all right for me to be nervous like this?' And he looked over at me and said, 'All the great ones do, so just go out and play.'"
