Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says that Wade Phillips will have a better chance to return next season if he navigates his team through December. Phillips is in the final year of his contract, but Dallas has an option for the 2010 season. "I don't know that it's anymore so for Wade than it is for anybody else on this team," Jones said. "... But what we do here and how we get into these playoffs ... have a game [at home], get a bye. All of those are things that look good for Wade." The Cowboys are 8-3 and hold a one-game lead over the Eagles for first place in the NFC East.
