Redskins coach Jim Zorn says that Clinton Portis will be the team's starting running back when he returns from a concussion.
In seven quarters since Portis went down, Ladell Betts has 184 yards and Washington defeated Denver on Sunday.
"I don't want a guy to lose his job because he had a concussion," Zorn said. "[Portis] is our running back, and who knows what kind of game he would have had. I don't want to take away anything from what Rock [Cartwright] and Ladell did. They really helped us win."
