A number of JaMarcus Russell's teammates say the Raiders quarterback is finally starting to get it. Reserve Charlie Frye saw Russell walk into Oakland's practice facility at 6:30 in the morning on Wednesday. "That's step one," Frye told the Sacramento Bee. "Stay the course and ... do a little bit more. If he can do that, I think things will work out. It's been tough, but I think as you're in this league more, you see how things equal themselves out as the season continues to go on. "It can't be bad the whole time. And a lot of bad stuff has happened." Defensive end Jay Richardson is seeing a change in Russell as well. "He's understanding work ethic and what it takes to be a No. 1 quarterback," he said. "Everybody's been benched. ? We've all had to face some adversity."
