A number of Redskins are confident that coach Jim Zorn isn't the reason the team has struggled this season. "When you're in a situation like this, when you face what we're facing, the doors and everything are going to close in on you," defensive end Andre Carter told the Washington Post. "But it's not Jim. ... I admire his character, and admire his will and strength. ... But as a player, when you respect a coach like that, you have to come out and help him by winning games. We're not doing that." Zorn's status will remain in question until the Redskins turn things around, or owner Daniel Snyder gives him a vote of confidence. "Coach Zorn is such a cool person, such a great guy, you want to go out there and lay everything on the line for him," said cornerback DeAngelo Hall. "It [stinks] the way the season's going right now. It [stinks] the way we've let a couple of games get away from us that we should have won. "You look at our schedule, or even if you watch the games, there are games we should have won, point blank. ... But we didn't lose those games because of Coach Zorn. We've lost because we've had some things happen, we don't always execute the way we have to, but that's not on Coach Zorn. And now, we're getting banged up."
