The Redskins aren't expected to replace coach Jim Zorn until after the season, even if they continue to struggle. However, some names are already popping up as rumored replacements for Zorn. Mike Shanahan and Redskins executive vice president for football operations Vinny Cerrato have a long-standing relationship, which has ignited rumors that the former Broncos coach could take the reigns of the Redskins at some point. Cerrato was the director of college scouting in San Francisco during Shanahan's three-year stint (1992 to 1994) as the 49ers' offensive coordinator. The two are believed to still be very close.
