Giants quarterback Eli Manning practiced with the team on Friday for the first time this week. With his right heel heavily taped, Manning took half of the snaps with the team's offense. Coach Tom Coughlin told the New York Times that he was "absolutely" encouraged by what he saw from Manning. Manning, who has made 82 consecutive starts, injured the plantar fascia in his right foot against the Chiefs last week. "He is not going to go against the medical people," said Coughlin, who added, "He wants to play in the worst way."
