Eagles president Joe Banner has indicated that head coach Andy Reid's contract will be extended, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Reid's current contract runs through the 2010 season. "Yeah, I'm sure it will be," Banner said. "We have a phenomenal relationship with him. We view him as [being] in the top couple of coaches in the league." Even a poor season isn't likely to jeopardize Reid's future. "Andy could have a bad week, have a bad year, and that wouldn't change the fact that he's in the upper echelon of coaches in this league, and we feel lucky to have him," Banner added. "So, at whatever point, I'm sure that that issue will be resolved."
