Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel wants to make more big plays on the field this season. Samuel, who is entering his second year with the team, had four interceptions in 2008. "It's something you could always improve upon, especially when you're dropping some," Samuel told the Philadelphia Inquirer. "I dropped a few last year and I could have doubled my total. It's something I'm definitely conscious about." Eagles general manager Tom Heckert joked that Samuel should have recorded twenty interceptions last season. The team believes they have the best corner in the league. "He does more before the ball is snapped than any corner I've ever seen, in terms of looking for indicators," defensive coordinator Sean McDermott said. "He tries to find six inches on every play."
