Browns receiver Josh Cribbs is optimistic about resolving his contract dispute, but won't guarantee he'll play Sunday. "I can't tell you what I'm going to do," Cribbs told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "I really can't tell you. I can tell you hopefully I'll be out there. I want to be out there. I anticipate being out there, and that's about it." The Browns have continued to talk to Cribbs' agent, J.R. Rickert, and the discussions has been positive. "I always hope for the best," said Cribbs. "You've got to prepare for the worst, but I keep hoping for the best. [Coach Eric] Mangini and [General Manager George] Kokinis have been men of their word and thus far they've shown me that they want me to be an impactful player on the team. I think things will work themselves out." When the TV cameras swarmed a few minutes later, Cribbs didn't let on that he was still waffling. Asked if there was any doubt he'd be there on Sunday, he said, "Not in my mind. Maybe a lot of other people speculate, probably my agent, he has doubt, I don't know. But I plan to be here on Sunday."
