Brett Favre admitted that he was nervous prior to his debut for the Vikings against the Chiefs on Friday. "All of a sudden I started having butterflies," Favre told the Star-Tribune. "That was probably the oddest thing. I was talking to my oldest daughter and she was telling me good luck and all this stuff. I said, 'I'm nervous.' She said, 'Oh, you'll be fine.' I just don't want to screw up." Minnesota defeated Kansas City 17-13, with Favre going 1-for-4. "It felt a little odd, so many years being on the other side," Favre said. "But I thought it was a welcome reception. I know in the long run, we'll be judged on wins and losses. I'm well aware of that. This is a tough place to play. It's nice to be on the other side. It was a little loud when we were on offense, too. But I think this place is just loud, period."
