Sage Rosenfels turned in a strong performance in Minnesota's 13-3 preseason win over Indianapolis on Friday. Rosenfels finished 10-for-13 with 91 yards in the game, leading the offense to 10 points on his two possessions. "Honestly, I felt more comfortable out there than I had in training camp," Rosenfels said after the game, according to the Associated Press. "You feel better. You're obviously more excited to play. There are a lot of times in games when things are easier. Things are faster and quicker, but your body just reacts. I'm trying to get to the point of knowing the offense so well that my body can just react." His competition for the team's starting job, Tarvaris Jackson, wasn't nearly as successful. He went 7-for-15 with just 39 yards on five series.
