The Eagles expect running back Brian Westbrook to be ready for the start of the regular season. Westbrook had surgery on his right ankle Friday to remove scar tissue and bone fragments. "Brian is doing well, he texted us and said he's doing well," trainer Rick Burkholder said. "We feel pretty comfortable that he'll be back by the beginning of the season. Whether he'll be back for training camp or not, it's too early to tell." Veterans are to report to Philadelphia's camp on July 29, and Westbrook cannot put weight on his ankle for at least two weeks.
