While reports stated that Donald Driver skipped the voluntary workout because he's unhappy with his contract situation, Driver said Wednesday he didn't attend because a relative of his wife, Betina, passed away and his son, Cristian, had graduated kindergarten. He did acknowledge, however, that his agent, Jordan Woy, has spoken to the team about his deal, which is scheduled to pay him $6.1 million this season and $7 million next season, between base salary and bonuses. "It's not about negotiating. I have a contract already," he said. "It's just about reworking that contract. It's not about adding more money onto the situation or anything like that. It's just that me and the organization have a situation that I've talked to them about, and I'm hoping we can work it out."
