Vikings quarterback Tavaris Jackson says that he's ready to compete with newcomer Sage Rosenfels for the team's starting job.
"I'm still going to compete, and I'll do exactly what I normally do," Jackson said Thursday. "I'll do a lot better hopefully [than 2008]. I'm going to work hard. This might push me a little more but that's what competition is all about. I'm not approaching this any differently than I did last year because I still went out and competed."
Jackson entered camp last July as Minnesota's starter, but this time around Rosenfels is expected to enter workouts as the favorite.
