Offensive tackle Orlando Pace was released by the Rams on Tuesday after struggling through injuries in recent seasons. The move clears $6 million in salary-cap space for the St. Louis, who was 2-14 last season and has the No. 2 overall pick in next month's NFL draft. "I can't begin to thank Orlando for all he has meant to the Rams organization," owner Chip Rosenbloom added in the statement. "It is never easy to end a relationship that has had as much success as ours, but in the interest of Orlando and the Rams, we feel now is the right time."
