The Lions are reportedly close to hiring former Jaguars executive James "Shack" Harris. The Detroit Free Press reported Sunday that the Lions called another candidate to tell him they plan to hire Harris. The Free Press said the deal isn't completed and the team issued a statement saying, "This is a premature report. We have nothing to announce or confirm."
