Ronde Barber wasn't happy to see defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin leave Tampa Bay, but he believes a change might be good for the team. "I have a great fondness for Monte," Barber said Friday. "He did a lot of great things for our defense for 12 years. But 12 years of the same thing ? people start figuring you out. "That's not to say our defense wasn't innovative or that we didn't get things done. We were very consistent. But for me personally, it's almost like I'm changing teams now. Kiffin and new Bucs coordinator Jim Bates are similar in a lot of ways, but we'll do a lot of different things now. We'll probably be a little more aggressive. We take a few more chances. I think we all look forward to that."
