Chris Mortensen of ESPN is reporting that the Chiefs could be near a deal with former Broncos' head coach Mike Shanahan. Kansas City fired Herm Edwards on Friday afternoon, and it has been rumored that new general manager Scott Pioli is interested in Arizona offensive coordinator Todd Haley.
