Drew Rosenhaus did not do much for his client's image in what can only be described as a contentious Q&A session following Owens' statement. "Terrell has received a lot of criticism, in my opinion, unfairly," Rosenhaus said. "He did not come out and try to offend anyone. Terrell's goal this year was to win a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles. That has never wavered. He hopes to do that. It's very unfortunate he's been sidetracked. But hopefully, you'll all help us get back on track. "Because the bottom line is I don't believe the media has been fair to us. There are players in the NFL who are arrested, who violated the program when it comes to drugs or substance abuse and they are not punished as seriously as he has been. There are players who do not get criticized as heavily by the media who do very significant things. He hasn't broken any laws. He hasn't broken any rules." Then, Rosenhaus began stonewalling the tougher questions. Q: Will you admit you made a mistake by trying to have the contract renegotiated at mid-term? A: Next question. Q: How do you feel when the quarterback of the team comes out and says we're better off without T.O.? A: Next question. Q. Why didn't he read the full apology (which included a direct apology to McNabb) like he was supposed to last week? If he did, maybe your client wouldn't be in this mess. A: Next question. Q: What have you done for T.O. other than getting him kicked off the team? A: Next question. Even Owens had to smile and wink at the reporter who asked that one.
