Baker Mayfield Requests Trade From Brown

Baker Mayfield has requested a trade from the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns had pursued a trade for Deshaun Watson, which proved unsuccessful. 

The Browns then offered to fly to Texas to meet with Mayfield, but he considered the bridge to be burned and time to move on.

Mayfield was the first overall pick by the Browns in 2018. 

“It’s in the mutual interest of both sides for us to move on," Mayfield told ESPN. "The relationship is too far fine to mend. It’s in the best interests of both sides to move on.”
